areas of application
BORNIT® Adhesive Filler is suitable for small-area waterproofing of cracks, holes, hollows, connections and for adhering bituminous vapour barrier sheeting, sanded bituminous sheeting and thermal insulation panels made of polystyrene (laminated and unlaminated) and of polyurethane (with nonwovens, PE/nonwovens lamination) on flat roofs. The material adheres well to mineral substrates (plaster, concrete, masonry), grease-free metal, wood, bituminous sheeting and felts.

type and properties
BORNIT® Adhesive Filler is a plastoelastic bitumen filler compound, especially designed for smaller repairs and quickly processable, directly from the cartridge. The material is resistant to non-oxidising acids, UV radiation and particularly weatherproof. The material is stable and also adheres to vertical surfaces.

  • manufactured ready for use
  • low expenditure on equipment and material and effort, therefore economic and cost-cutting
  • crack-bridging and highly adhesive
  • accurate, economic application right from the cartridge

The substrate must be dry, clean, oil- and grease-free as well as stable. For better adhesion to concrete, masonry or plaster, BORNIT Bitumen Primer should be used as a primer. This primer must have completely dried prior to starting any work. The product contains solvents, which may adversely affect plastics, etc. Therefore, please check compatibility on these substrates prior to processing!

BORNIT® Adhesive Filler is processed using a cartridge press 301 ml. The product is best processable at temperatures above +10 °C. Upon prior storage in warm surroundings, however, processing is possible down to outside temperatures of -5 °C. In that, application thicknesses up to 5 mm are possible.

for filling work approx. 12 m/cartridge at a joint cross-section of 5 x 5 mm.
for adhesion work approx. 100 g (or ml, resp.) per running metre (at a width of 4 cm).
