Areas of application
BORNIT® PS Cleaner is predominantly used for gentle cleaning of tools and machine parts following their use with BORNIT® Cold Sealing Compound and BORNIT® Cold Joint Sealant. Not yet thoroughly hardened product residues can be removed effortlessly. In case of thoroughly hardened polysulphide products, BORNIT® PS Cleaner cannot be used anymore
Type and properties
BORNIT® PS Cleaner is a ketone-containing solvent for cleaning not yet thoroughly hardened polysulphide products, such as BORNIT® Cold Sealing Compound and BORNIT® Cold Joint Sealant. Upon use on plastic parts, respectively check compatibility in advance. Rubber sealings must not be cleaned with BORNIT® PS Cleaner. Upon contact with skin, BORNIT® PS Cleaner has a degreasing effect, and it is easily flammable.
When working with BORNIT® PS-Cleaner, provide for sufficient ventilation. Furthermore, wearing protective gloves and protective goggles is indispensable. The product is applied onto contaminated substrates using a brush or a cloth. After a short exposure time, the product residues can be removed with a dry cloth.
