Areas of application
In order to guarantee and improve adhesion of BORNIT® Hot Sealing TL, BORNIT® Hot Sealing N1, BORNIT® Hot Sealing Rail, BORNIT® Hot Sealing PS and BORNIT® Joint Tape. The primer is used for priming the fusion faces and is indispensable for optimal adhesion of the sealing compound.
BORNIT® Hot Compound Primer is also used as a primer for BORNIT® BORNIthene Plus.
BORNIT® Hot Compound Primer is also used as a primer for BORNIT® BORNIthene Plus.
Type and properties
BORNIT® Hot Compound Primer is a quick-drying, dissolved, polymer-containing primer. It is cold workable, spreadable and sprayable.
Quality according to EN 14188-4 and current ZTV/TL Fug-StB.
Quality according to EN 14188-4 and current ZTV/TL Fug-StB.
Advantages
- easiest handling, since manufactured ready for use
- universally applicable, therefore numerous uses
- good adhesion properties
- quick-drying and solvent-containing
- economical and cost-cutting, due to low equipment and material costs and effort
Surface
The substrate must be clean, dry and grease-free.
Processing
The hot compound primer should be applied by brushing or spraying at normal temperatures. The processing temperature (ambient and substrate temperature) for the subsequent application of hot sealants and joint tapes should not be below +5°C and not above +35°C.
For priming prior to the application of BORNIthene-Plus, the processing temperature ranges from -5°C to +35°
