Areas of application
For priming of porous, absorbent surfaces like concrete, masonry, wood (without varnish or topcoat), especially in the floor area.

Type and properties
BORNIT® Concrete Primer is a two-component adhesion promoter for polysulphide sealants preferably used in the floor area. For priming the fusion faces prior to using BORNIT® Cold Sealing Compound and BORNIT® Cold Joint Sealant.

  • easy to mix
  • short flash-off time
  • less equipment and labor required for processing

The substrate must be dry, free from dust and grease as well as loose particles.

The components A + B are mixed and the concrete primer evenly applied with a brush. After a flash-off time of 30 minutes to 2 hours (depending on the temperature), the sealant can be applied. The concrete primer must not be completely dry. If more than 24 hours should have passed, the old primer layer must be roughened and new concrete primer applied. It must be observed that no moisture film has formed on the primer surface due to undercutting of the dew point.

approx. 0.01 - 0.02 ltr. / linear metre depending on the joint dimension
