Areas of application
BORNIT® Injection Cream Plus is used for subsequent injection against capillary ascending moisture. With its special formulation with a high active-agent content, it can still be used up to a degree of moisture penetration of 95 %. With its creamy consistency, BORNIT® Injection Cream Plus can be applied without elaborate preparation, like filling cavities.

Type and properties
BORNIT® Injection Cream Plus is a high-quality, ready-to-use, silane-based, aqueous injection cream. In the masonry it leads to the hydrophobization of the capillaries.

Advantages
  • ready for application
  • creamy consistency
  • silane-based
  • hydrophobic, thus no clogging of pores
  • no previous filling of cavities required
  • high penetration properties into smallest capillaries
  • applicable at degrees of moisture penetration up to 95 %
  • no formation of foreign salts
  • very high active-agent concentration
  • to be applied without pressure

Surface
Remove defective old plaster at least 80 cm around the noticeable moisture damage. Scratch out sanding, friable, destroyed joints down to at least 2 cm. If applicable, clean the surface mechanically. Breakups and open joints must be closed with BORNIT® Sealing Mortar in advance. After removal of the plaster, treat the masonry with BORNIT® Anti-Sulphate. Then drill horizontal drill holes with a diameter of 12–16 mm at a distance of 8–12 cm into the horizontal joint. The depth of the drill hole is the wall thickness minus 5 cm (for example: 40 cm wall thickness = 35 cm drill hole depth). The drill holes must be thoroughly blown out with oil-free compressed air or using a vacuum cleaner. Upon using two rows of drill holes, a height offset of the drill holes of 8–12 cm must not be exceeded. Using BORNIT® Injection Cream Plus in porous concrete is possible, since this, however, depends on certain prerequisites, please contact our application engineers in advance.

Processing
BORNIT® Injection Cream Plus can be processed almost without any pressure using 1K injection equipment or compressed-air spraying equipment with injection lances. Injection into the drill holes is undertaken from back to front, for that, the injection lance (for e.g. pressure sprayer Gloria 405/410T) is inserted right down to the end of the drill hole and, while operating the injection gun, it is slowly retracted from the drill hole. It must be observed that the drill hole is completely filled with BORNIT® Injection Cream Plus. When using two rows of drill holes, start injections in the bottom-most row of drill holes. After drying, close the drill holes with BORNIT® Sealing Mortar. In order to promote drying of the walls above the injected wall areas, it must be observed that there are no dense wall coats or coatings, if applicable, these have to be removed. Provide for sufficient drying conditions, additional measures might be required.
Depending on the actual damage and cause, further waterproofing measures must be undertaken, as, e.g., application of renovation plaster permitting diffusion, exterior waterproofing or interior waterproofing of the construction object using BORNIT® product systems.

We recommend calculating a safety margin of at least 10 % into the consumption. As soon as the injection material has been completely absorbed or soaked up, resp., by the masonry, the drill holes are closed or filled, resp., with BORNIT® Drill Hole Filler.
