Areas of application
BORNIT® Hot Compound Primer Spray is used for priming substrates, and in that for improving adhesion for various bitumen construction materials as follows:
• Substrate priming for BORNIT® BORNIthene Plus
• Priming for BORNIT® Hot Sealing N1, BORNIT® Hot Sealing TL, BORNIT® Hot Sealing Rail, BORNIT® Hot Sealing PS
• Bonding for BORNIT® Bitumen Joint Sealant 2C
• Improvement of adhesion on asphalt surfaces prior to applying BORNIT®-Crack Tape
• Priming of joint flanks prior to processing any BORNIT® Joint Tapes
• Improvement of adhesion for bitumen profiles and tapes (BORNIT® Triangle Tape, Trapezium Tape, Alu Tape)
• Substrate priming for BORNIT® BORNIthene Plus
• Priming for BORNIT® Hot Sealing N1, BORNIT® Hot Sealing TL, BORNIT® Hot Sealing Rail, BORNIT® Hot Sealing PS
• Bonding for BORNIT® Bitumen Joint Sealant 2C
• Improvement of adhesion on asphalt surfaces prior to applying BORNIT®-Crack Tape
• Priming of joint flanks prior to processing any BORNIT® Joint Tapes
• Improvement of adhesion for bitumen profiles and tapes (BORNIT® Triangle Tape, Trapezium Tape, Alu Tape)
Type and properties
BORNIT® Hot Compound Primer Spray is a sprayable, quick-drying, polymer plastic-containing primer. Using the special spraying can with the user-friendly 360° tilting valve, small surfaces can be primed without any problem without having to use further tools. The product penetrates well into the substrate, has a dust-binding effect and dries fast. Tested according to ZTV Fug-StB 15 / TL Fug-StB 15.
Advantages
- easiest handling without brush or roller
- thus, no tool cleaning required
- immediately ready for use
- economical consumption
- universally suitable for small surfaces
- good adhesion properties and fast drying
- high penetration capability and wetting of the substrate
Surface
The substrate must be clean, dry and grease-free. Remove loose particles prior to application of the primer.
Processing
Prior to processing, store the product at room temperature. Shake the can vigorously before use. Uniformly spray onto the substrate from a distance of approx. 25 cm. Only perform subsequent work after complete thorough drying of the primer!
Consumption
approx. 0.2 l/m² depending on absorbency of the substrate
